Khosla Ventures expands beyond California with new New York office
Khosla Ventures, the Menlo Park-based venture capital firm, has announced its first office expansion outside of Sand Hill Road with a new location on 14th Street in New York City. Scheduled to begin operations this autumn, the office is designed to serve as more than just a workspace for investors.
A central feature of the new location will be an ‘Executive Briefing Center.’ This facility is intended to facilitate structured sessions where approximately 10 to 12 portfolio companies meet with Fortune 500 corporations four days a week to foster commercial alliances and client acquisition.
Partner Keith Rabois noted that while New York offers an exceptional density of young talent, recruiting senior executives remains a challenge due to urban commuting and lifestyle dynamics. The firm plans to utilize a bottom-up growth model to address these logistical hurdles. This move follows recent data indicating that New York has surpassed the San Francisco Bay Area in the number of technology professionals.
