Khrieletuonuo Yhome releases debut poetry book in Kohima

Khrieletuonuo Yhome released her debut poetry collection, ‘Longings: Poetry effused in the midst of love and betrayal’, at The Highland Institute in Kohima. The book marks the 124th publication from PenThrill Publication House.

During the launch, Dr. Medongu-ü Khruomo, Vice Principal of GHSS Chiechama, officially released the book. Yhome, an assistant researcher at The Highland Institute, described the work as a collection of emotions, memories, and life stages. She noted that her interest in poetry began in the ninth grade and cited Vishü Rita Krocha’s 2011 book, ‘A Bucket of Rain’, as a significant inspiration.

Publisher Vishü Rita Krocha encouraged the young author to continue her literary pursuits, while Dr. Khruomo remarked that the book serves as a journey through human emotions such as love, hope, loss, and resilience.
