Khulna man shot dead in suspected gang-related killing

A 32-year-old man named Tushar was shot and killed in the Purba Baniakhamar area of Khulna, Bangladesh, early Thursday morning. The incident occurred around 5:30 AM near the Khademul Ulum Madrasa in the Ansar Ali Lane area.

According to local police, a confrontation broke out between several youths, which escalated into gunfire. Tushar sustained a gunshot wound to his back and was pronounced dead upon arrival at Khulna Medical College Hospital. Authorities recovered a motorcycle and two shell casings from the scene.

Police officials stated that the deceased was an active member of a criminal group led by an individual known as Palash and had existing legal cases against him involving narcotics and illegal weapons. The Officer-in-Charge of Khulna Sadar Police, Md. Lokman Hossain Ripon, confirmed that the suspects have been identified and police operations are underway to apprehend them.
