Khuzestan officials call for industrial revitalization to boost employment
In Khuzestan, officials are emphasizing the urgent need to revitalize industrial units to address youth unemployment and economic stability. Seyed Mohammad Nabi Mousavi-Fard, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Khuzestan, noted that approximately 2,000 industrial units exist in the province, some of which are currently closed or semi-inactive. He stressed that returning these units to the production cycle is a priority for regional economic prosperity.
Additionally, Mousavi-Fard highlighted the necessity of market supervision to prevent price gouging and ensure the supply of public necessities. He also identified stable electricity supply as a strategic necessity for the province, particularly given extreme temperatures exceeding 50 degrees Celsius.
Mohammad Atabak, the Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, visited Khuzestan to meet with provincial planners and inspect several steel companies, including Oxin Steel, Khuzestan Steel, and Atieh Steel.
