Khuzestan Steel Group inaugurates innovation center and TAFCO headquarters

Khuzestan Steel Group has officially inaugurated its new innovation center and the central headquarters of the Comprehensive Sustainable Economic Development Company (TAFCO). The ceremony, held at the Khuzestan Steel Group's Tobi Hall, aims to transition the company toward a knowledge-based economy.

During the event, Amin Ebrahimi, CEO of Khuzestan Steel Group, emphasized the necessity of structural transformation in the relationship between science and industry. He stated that ideas must move beyond the laboratory to become operational and effective economic activities. Ebrahimi also called for a shift away from traditional conservatism, encouraging risk-taking and boldness to drive technological advancement and create value from both primary and secondary steel products.

Other key participants included Saeid Ghasemzadeh, CEO of TAFCO, and Mehran Abbaszadeh, CEO of the Comprehensive Development Group, both of whom discussed the strategic dimensions and value-adding potential of the project. Seyed Yahya Mirzaei, head of the Khuzestan Province Science and Technology Park, also attended, highlighting the importance of synergy between industry and academia to overcome economic challenges.
