Khuzestan to host art festivals ahead of artist martyrs congress

The Khuzestan Directorate of Culture and Islamic Guidance has announced plans to launch the first congress for artist martyrs in the province. To prepare the cultural community and create psychological readiness for the main event, four preliminary art festivals will be held.

These festivals will focus on theater, visual arts, literature, and poetry. The initiatives are being organized through a collaboration between the Directorate of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the Basij Organization, and the Art Bureau. Local drama and visual arts associations, along with county-level cultural departments, are expected to participate in the execution of these programs.

Hossein Barati, the Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance in Khuzestan, emphasized that the province's significant role during the Sacred Defense necessitates high-standard commemorations. He noted that careful planning and coordination meetings are underway to ensure the main congress is held with the dignity appropriate for the martyrs.
