Arsenal agree deal for Georgian playmaker Andria Bartishvili
Arsenal has reached an agreement to sign 17-year-old Georgian playmaker Andria Bartishvili from Kolkheti 1913. The deal, reportedly worth approximately €4.5 million, includes a five-year contract.
Bartishvili, who is currently on loan at Iberia 1999, is traveling to London to undergo a medical. Due to international transfer regulations, he is not expected to officially join the Arsenal squad until 2027, once he turns 18.
The move was reportedly spearheaded by assistant to sporting director Andrea Berta and Maurizio Micheli. Micheli previously served as a chief scout at Napoli, where he was credited with identifying Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Bartishvili has gained significant attention in Georgia, having already earned caps for the nation's Under-21 side. He is described as a versatile attacking midfielder or winger with strong technical abilities.
