Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor announces cleanliness drive and encroachment crackdown

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has announced a major crackdown on illegal encroachments and the launch of a province-wide cleanliness campaign, starting in Peshawar. Kundi emphasized that the administration will take impartial action against those obstructing public spaces, warning that no recommendations or favoritism will be accepted in these operations.

In addition to sanitation and urban management, the Governor addressed several governance issues. He stated his intention to work in coordination with the federal government and other provinces to ensure unity. Kundi also announced an inquiry into missing wheat supplies, promised improvements to the traffic system through camera monitoring, and pledged to meet with WAPDA to address electricity load shedding and theft.

Regarding development, the Governor vowed to prioritize only useful projects and prevent the misappropriation of funds. He noted that while the province faces long-standing issues accumulated over 13 years, the administration is committed to providing a healthier environment for citizens through dedicated teams and improved waste management in markets and major thoroughfares.
