Khyber Pakhtunkhwa lifts quail hunting ban and resumes green mining
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has lifted its ban on quail hunting, permitting the hunting of both common quail and rain quail. Under a new order issued by the Chief Conservator of Wildlife, licensed individuals are allowed a daily bag limit of eight quails per hunter within designated areas.
Additionally, the KP Home Department has authorized the resumption of green mining operations across all districts in the province. These projects, which are classified as being of national interest, are permitted to operate without the use of explosives and include surface mining and related activities. Local administrations and law enforcement have been instructed to facilitate the revival of these operations.
