Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police issue security advisory for wedding photography

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have issued a security advisory to citizens regarding the filming and photography of wedding ceremonies. The warning urges families to exercise extreme caution when capturing images and videos of female relatives, including mothers, sisters, and daughters.

Authorities warned that cybercriminals and blackmailers are increasingly using deepfake technology, manipulated images, and edited videos to target families. These criminals often threaten to release private content to cause mental distress and extortion. With the wedding season beginning alongside the onset of winter, police emphasized the need for families to secure personal digital content and remain vigilant against security risks during wedding photo shoots.
