Kia announces Seltos hybrid SUV launch in Ireland and Poland

Kia has announced the arrival of the second-generation Seltos in European markets, including Ireland and Poland. As the brand’s second best-selling global model, the compact SUV is positioned within the competitive C-SUV segment.

In Ireland, the Seltos will be available starting in December with prices from €39,500. The model will be offered exclusively with a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) drivetrain across four trim levels: K2, K3, GT-Line, and GT-Line Plus. It also features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, allowing the battery to power external devices up to 3.6 kW.

The hybrid powertrain utilizes a 1.6 GDI petrol engine paired with an electric motor. Two drivetrain options are available: a front-wheel-drive (FWD) version producing 154 hp, and an e-AWD version with an additional rear electric motor producing 178 hp. The vehicle offers a boot capacity of 536 litres and is designed to bridge the gap below the Kia Sportage in terms of positioning.
