Kia EV2 qualifies for full £3,750 UK Electric Car Grant

The Kia EV2 long‑range models – Air, GT‑Line and GT‑Line S – now qualify for the maximum £3,750 Electric Car Grant in the United Kingdom, lowering on‑road prices to £24,245, £28,995 and £32,595 respectively. The First‑Edition Standard‑Range version, equipped with a 42.2 kWh battery, receives a £1,500 grant, bringing its price to £26,995.

Kia is one of seven manufacturers whose fully electric vehicles are eligible for the top‑tier grant, introduced in July 2025 under UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer to accelerate EV adoption. The scheme applies to electric cars priced under £37,000 and is complemented by a £63 million program to expand public charging infrastructure.

In the first half of the year Kia recorded its best‑ever UK sales, becoming the country's third‑best‑selling brand with 65,300 registrations, of which 18,241 were fully electric models including the EV2, EV3, EV4, EV5, EV6 and EV9.
