Kia introduces front-wheel drive diesel option for Sorento
Kia is expanding its Sorento SUV lineup by adding a front-wheel drive version of the diesel model. This new entry-level variant is priced starting at 54,690 euros, which is 2,000 euros less than the comparable all-wheel drive model.
The diesel engine is a 2.2-liter four-cylinder producing 142 kW (194 PS), paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. It maintains a towing capacity of up to 2.5 tons and features a fuel consumption rate of 6.2 liters per 100 km, which is 0.4 liters less than the 4x4 version. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in January 2027.
The Sorento is also available in full hybrid (176 kW/239 PS) and plug-in hybrid (212 kW/288 PS) versions. The plug-in variant is exclusively available with all-wheel drive starting at 61,140 euros. Kia offers a seven-year manufacturer warranty on the vehicle.
