Kia reports strong August 2026 sales growth in India and the US

Kia reported significant sales growth in August 2026. In India, the company recorded 29,042 units, a 48% year-on-year increase from August 2025. The Seltos was the primary driver in this market, with 11,716 units sold, representing a 150% year-on-year growth. Other notable contributors in India included the Sonet, Carens, and Syros, while the Sorento began dispatches with 365 units.

Globally, Kia's total sales reached 266,675 units in August 2026, up 5% compared to the previous year. While sales in South Korea declined by nearly 8%, international markets saw a 7.4% increase. The United States remains a critical market, achieving a new all-time monthly sales record of 83,793 units in August. In the U.S., hybrid sales saw a substantial jump of 111%, with the Seltos being the fastest-selling model, growing by 53%.
