Geely launches E2 electric compact car in Germany at 19,990 euros

Geely is expanding its presence in the European electric vehicle market with the launch of the E2, a compact electric car previously known as the Xingyuan in China. Starting at 19,990 euros in Germany, the E2 aims to compete directly with established models like the Volkswagen ID. Polo and the Renault 5 by offering a lower entry price and significant interior space.

The E2 is available in two main variants: the Pro, featuring a 35.4 kWh battery and a 252 km WLTP range, and the Max, which offers a 47.1 kWh battery and a 345 km range. Key design features include a rear-wheel-drive layout and a 70-liter front trunk (frunk).

In separate consumer news, the German provider Hepha has released the Urban 8 Ultra, an all-round electric bike. Priced at approximately 3,000 euros, the model features a 600-Wh battery and a mid-drive motor providing 100 Nm of torque, designed for efficiency and performance on inclines.
