Kia Seltos hybrid expands in Europe with e-AWD technology

Kia has expanded its Seltos SUV lineup in European markets, including the Czech Republic and Greece, with new hybrid powertrain options. The new models feature both front-wheel drive and an advanced e-AWD system.

The e-AWD configuration is a technical milestone for the brand, utilizing a dedicated electric motor on the rear axle rather than a mechanical connection to the front wheels. This system automatically engages the rear drive to improve traction and stability. The hybrid versions also introduce Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, allowing the car to power external electrical devices, a feature previously reserved for fully electric models.

Technical specifications vary by configuration. The front-wheel-drive hybrid produces approximately 154 horsepower, while the e-AWD version delivers up to 178 horsepower. The lineup also includes a 1.6-liter turbo petrol engine producing 180 horsepower. In Greece, prices for the hybrid models start at approximately €31,490 for front-wheel drive and €35,490 for the e-AWD variant. In the Czech Republic, the hybrid starts at 719,980 CZK after applicable bonuses.
