Kia Seltos hybrid range launches in New Zealand and Europe

Kia has launched the new-generation Seltos in New Zealand, featuring hybrid powertrains across the entire range. Prices for the five available variants start at $39,990 plus on-road costs, with the top-tier electrically assisted all-wheel-drive X-Line model priced at $55,490.

All models utilize a 1.6-litre petrol hybrid powertrain paired with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 2WD models produce 112kW, while the eAWD version increases output to 129kW. The vehicle is built on Kia’s K3 platform in Korea and includes suspension and steering tuning specifically optimized for Australian and New Zealand driving conditions.

In Europe and Finland, the Seltos is also being introduced as a successor to the Kia Niro. The European lineup includes both hybrid options and traditional petrol engines with automatic transmissions and all-wheel-drive capabilities, offering a more rugged design compared to previous models.
