Kia Sonet prices drop in Vietnam as sales lead competitors

The Kia Sonet is experiencing significant price reductions in the Vietnamese automotive market. For the third consecutive month, dealership prices for the model have trended downward to stimulate year-end demand.

Specifically, the entry-level 1.5L AT version, which launched in September 2025 at 499 million VND, is now being offered by some dealers in Northern Vietnam for as low as 436 million VND. This represents a total decrease of approximately 63 million VND since its release. While the official listed price on the Kia Vietnam website remains 450 million VND, various dealerships are offering different promotional rates.

Other versions, including the Deluxe and Luxury trims, are receiving direct incentives from THACO of up to 12 million VND. This pricing strategy comes as Kia maintains a strong sales lead in the subcompact SUV segment; in September, THACO delivered 653 Sonet units, significantly outpacing competitors such as the Suzuki Fronx (62 units) and the Hyundai Venue (46 units). The total sales for the Kia Sonet reached 5,792 units in the first nine months of the year.
