Kia Sorento Hybrid and PHEV updates in India and US

Kia is expanding its Sorento lineup with significant updates in both the Indian and US markets. In India, the upcoming launch of the Sorento Hybrid in September 2026 positions it as a premium three-row competitor to the Toyota Innova Hycross Hybrid. While the Toyota focuses on MPV practicality, fuel economy, and cabin space, the Kia Sorento Hybrid emphasizes a muscular SUV design, turbocharged performance, and available all-wheel drive.

In the United States, Kia has announced pricing for the 2027 Sorento PHEV and streamlined its model range by discontinuing the EX trim. The updated US lineup will offer only the top-spec X-Line SX-Prestige AWD variant, priced at $53,890 excluding destination charges. This single-variant approach includes a standard head-up display, X-Line embossing on seatbacks, and new interior wood inlays.
