Kia Sorento launched in India with hybrid and diesel options

Kia has launched the Sorento SUV in India, offering both diesel and strong-hybrid powertrain options. The vehicle is available in six- and seven-seat configurations, featuring premium interior elements such as a 12.3-inch curved infotainment display, a Bose audio system, and ventilated seats.

The hybrid variant utilizes a 1.6-liter engine with a 6-speed AMT transmission, while the diesel option features a 2.2-liter engine paired with an 8-speed DCT automatic. Fuel efficiency for the hybrid two-wheel drive (2WD) model is claimed at 19.60 km/l, while the four-wheel drive (4WD) version is rated at 17.70 km/l. The diesel 2WD variant offers 17.66 km/l, and the diesel 4WD variant provides 15.79 km/l.

In the Indian market, the Sorento is priced between approximately ₹27.99 lakh and ₹40.19 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the engine and variant selected.
