Kia Tasman debuts in Brazil as new mid-size pickup
Kia has officially launched the Tasman, its first mid-size pickup, in the Brazilian market. The vehicle is initially available in a single GL version, priced at R$ 249,990, positioning it to compete directly with established models such as the Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, and Chevrolet S10.
Built on a body-on-frame chassis, the Tasman features a 2.2-liter Smartstream turbodiesel engine producing 210 hp and 45 kgfm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and 4x4 traction. The vehicle offers various driving modes, including settings for snow, mud, and sand.
Technologically, the cabin is highlighted by a panoramic display totaling 29.6 inches, comprising two 12.3-inch screens for the instrument cluster and multimedia, plus a 5-inch display for climate controls. The pickup measures 5.41 meters in length and offers a cargo bed volume of 1,173 liters, with a payload capacity of approximately 1,000 kg.
