KIA Tigers lead LG Twins 2-0 in KBO Semi-Playoff

The KIA Tigers have taken a commanding 2-0 lead in the 2026 KBO Postseason Semi-Playoff against the LG Twins after winning the second game 6-3 at Gwangju-Kia Champions Field.

KIA secured the victory through a massive first-inning offensive explosion, scoring five runs. The rally included hits from Harold Kastro, Na Sung-bum, Kim Sun-bin, and Han Jun-su. KIA starting pitcher Adam Oller delivered a strong performance, pitching six innings with eight strikeouts and allowing only two runs. Reliever Jeon Sang-hyeon earned the Daily MVP honors after pitching 1.1 scoreless innings to secure the save.

LG's starting pitcher, Lim Chan-kyu, struggled early, allowing five runs in the first inning before being pulled. Despite attempts to rally in the third and fifth innings, LG was unable to overcome the deficit.

The series moves to Jamsil Baseball Stadium for Game 3 on October 20. KIA is expected to start Shirakawa Keisho, while LG is slated to start Carlos Carrasco. A win in Game 3 would allow KIA to advance to the Playoff against the Samsung Lions with significant rest.
