Kia updates XCeed crossover with new design and hybrid options
Kia has launched an updated version of its XCeed crossover in the European market, featuring significant improvements in design, connectivity, safety, and driving comfort. The model serves as a transitional solution for consumers moving toward electric mobility by offering electrified combustion engines.
Exterior updates include a redesigned hood, front bumpers, grille, headlights, and fenders, following the brand’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy. The rear has also been modified with a new tailgate, bumper, and a continuous light signature. The vehicle's proportions have been adjusted, including a 15mm reduction in the front overhang.
Inside, the technology has been upgraded with dual 12.3-inch digital screens for the instrument cluster and central display. New features include Kia Connect compatibility, Digital Key 2.0 for smartphone use, and wireless phone charging.
Mechanical options include a 1.0 T-GDi gasoline engine producing 115 hp. A mild-hybrid (MHEV) powertrain is available on the Tech trim, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (7DCT). In Portugal, prices start at €25,490, while in Spain, prices start from €19,860. The trunk capacity is 426 liters, which decreases to 380 liters in MHEV variants.
