Bollywood celebrities join viral 80s AI photo trend

Several Bollywood celebrities have participated in a viral Instagram trend involving AI-generated photos that reimagine their appearances in the 1980s. Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra shared AI-generated images featuring retro styles, such as double-denim and puff sleeves, which fans compared to the aesthetic of actors Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon.

Other stars joining the trend include Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha, as well as Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal. While many are using AI to travel back in time, filmmaker Farah Khan gained attention by opting out of the digital trend, instead sharing authentic vintage photographs from her own childhood in the 1980s.

Separately, actress Nimisha Sajayan documented her physical transformation for the film ‘Babita Reporting’, sharing details of the significant weight gain required for her role.
