Kiat Lim visits Valencia CF, joins team at Virgin of Desamparados offering

Kiat Lim, the son of Valencia CF owner Peter Lim, returned to the club in Valencia, accompanying first‑team squads and senior executives on a traditional floral offering at the Basilica of the Virgin of the Desamparados. The ceremony, attended by players such as José Luis Gayà and Pauleta Sancho, club director Javier Solís and football CEO Ron Gourlay, marked the start of the 2026‑27 season.

The visit comes as Valencia CF has been granted permission to sign new players without first having to sell existing ones, signalling a shift in the club’s transfer policy. The timing also precedes the 54th Trofeu Taronja friendly against Newcastle United, which will be played at the newly rebuilt Nou Mestalla.

Kiat Lim kept a low profile, offering no comments after the basilica visit, while the club’s leadership highlighted the coordinated effort between ownership, management and the coaching staff.
