Kibu Vicuna joins Poland national team coaching staff

Kibu Vicuna has joined the coaching staff of the Poland national football team as an assistant to head coach Jan Urban. Vicuna takes over the role previously held by Jacek Magiera, who passed away on April 10 at the age of 49.

In an interview with TVP Sport, Vicuna expressed that while he would have preferred to continue his work in India, he felt a responsibility to return to Poland to support Urban and the national team following Magiera's death. Vicuna, a Spaniard with Polish citizenship, has a long history of working with Urban at clubs including Legia Warsaw, Zagłębie Lubin, Lech Poznań, and Śląsk Wrocław.

Vicuna noted his deep connection to Poland, mentioning his professional roots in the country and his personal ties, including his fiancée residing there. He described the appointment as an honor and expressed his commitment to helping the team achieve the best possible results.
