KIC Budo Tomović hosts literary presentations for new works

The KIC Budo Tomović cultural institution is hosting literary presentations for two new works.

Poet Sofija Drakulović presented her poetry collection, ‘Ispovijesti su gore nego psovke’. During the discussion, Drakulović addressed her creative process and the importance of an uncompromisingly open authorial voice. She noted that while sharing personal feelings can sometimes feel ‘cringe’ or risk becoming pathetic, she believes avoiding such vulnerability can lead to human alienation. Her work utilizes elements of popular culture and social critique to examine societal patterns.

Additionally, journalist and author Sofija Kordić will present her new novel, ‘Smrt bez samoglasnika’, on September 14. The novel, which explores themes of suicide, depression, and mental health, is structured through the dual perspectives of a narrator and a deceased Danish journalist. The presentation will include a discussion with writer Nikola Nikolić.
