Kichijoji ramen shop Seikei‑mae offers quail topping for 50 yen

The ramen restaurant Seikei‑mae, located at 3‑4‑3 Kichijōji‑kita‑machi in Musashino, Tokyo, now serves a specialty quail topping. Two quail pieces can be added to a bowl for 50 yen. The quail is prepared as a smoked‑flavored, marinated and coated product, described by the shop as a “luxurious” addition that intensifies the broth’s richness.

The shop, inspired by the Kichijōji‑style Ramen Jiro lineage, also recommends pairing the quail with extra katsuobushi (dried bonito flakes) or a large garlic topping for a stronger umami impact. The offering is presented as a unique twist on the chain’s traditional heavy‑ramen style, appealing to diners seeking a richer flavor experience.
