Kick streamer Gtwist filmed during alleged assault by father
A 13-year-old livestreamer known as ‘Gtwist’ was involved in a viral incident on the platform Kick after footage appeared to show his father physically assaulting him during a live broadcast on August 30, 2026.
The footage shows an adult man entering the minor's room, mocking his voice, and grabbing him by the neck and face, causing the teen to fall from his chair. The streamer was visibly distressed and crying before the stream ended. While some social media users debated whether the interaction was staged for attention, others called for investigations by child protection authorities.
Following the incident, Kick removed the video and permanently suspended Gtwist’s channel for violating policies regarding violence and the involvement of minors. Gtwist later posted a message on X stating he was fine and intended to continue streaming via a backup account.
