Kickboxing founder Youne Vuctorio attacked during Jakarta national meeting

On 28 July 2026, the Musyawarah Nasional (Munas) Kickboxing convened at the Hotel Aloft Marriott in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta. A group of individuals without official ID cards forced their way into the outdoor area of the event. Founder and committee member Youne Vuctorio, 45, intervened to calm the situation but was beaten by the crowd. He suffered serious injuries, notably to the back of his head. Vuctorio reported the assault to the Polda Metro Jaya police on 29 July, filing a case under Article 262 of Indonesia’s criminal code. Police investigations are ongoing.

The incident highlighted concerns over security at sports gatherings and raised questions about the enforcement of entry protocols at national sporting assemblies.
