Kid Cudi to write, direct, and star in horror thriller ‘Wrong Number’

Kid Cudi, also known as Scott Mescudi, is expanding his filmmaking career with a new horror thriller titled ‘Wrong Number’. Currently in production in Los Angeles, the project marks Cudi’s second feature as a director.

Cudi is taking on multiple creative roles, serving as the writer, director, composer, and an executive producer. He will also star in the film alongside Barbie Ferreira. The plot follows Ibn, a lonely self-help author whose life unravels after an unexpected relationship with a character named Eliza. The story shifts into a dark mystery when Ibn becomes the target of an unseen stalker and the primary suspect in a series of murders.

The supporting cast includes Laura Harrier, Clifton Powell, Lucy Barrett, and Dewayne Perkins. Cudi, a self-described horror enthusiast, noted that the film is an original story intended to bring his interest in the genre to the screen. Both ‘Wrong Number’ and his other upcoming project, ‘Doe’, are expected to arrive in 2027.
