Kid Rock defends upcoming gospel album against calls for song removals

Kid Rock is facing online backlash regarding his upcoming gospel album, ‘Halfway 2 Jesus’, which is scheduled for release on October 17. The singer took to social media to address critics, claiming that unnamed individuals are attempting to pressure him into removing several songs from the project.

The controversy stems largely from the album's featured artists. While the inclusion of Eminem has drawn scrutiny from certain fanbases, the participation of country singer Jimmie Allen has faced significant criticism due to previous sexual assault allegations and a federal court order requiring Allen to pay nearly $2 million to an accuser.

This project follows Kid Rock's recent success in the Christian music genre, including a No. 1 debut on Billboard's Hot Christian Songs chart for his faith-based cover of Cody Johnson's ‘Til You Can't’. The new album will also feature collaborations with Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts.
