Kid Rock announces Christian album featuring Eminem

Kid Rock has announced his first Christian-themed album, titled ‘Halfway 2 Jesus’, scheduled for release on October 17. The 17-track project marks a significant musical shift for the artist, blending rock, country, and hip-hop with faith-based themes.

Notably, the album features a collaboration with Detroit rapper Eminem on the track ‘7 Sins’. This marks a reunion for the two Michigan artists, who previously worked together on the 1998 song ‘F— Off’ and the 2013 music video for ‘Berzerk’. Kid Rock addressed the collaboration by noting that despite their differing political views, they have remained longtime friends.

The lead single, ‘James 1:17 (Jesus Is King)’, has already been released alongside a music video. Other guest contributors on the album include Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts and Jimmie Allen. The announcement has sparked mixed reactions among fans, with some expressing skepticism regarding the legitimacy of Eminem’s involvement due to their contrasting political stances, while others have voiced disappointment over the association.
