Kid Rock's Michigan Rock the Country Festival Secures $156K Law‑Enforcement Funding

Barry County officials in Michigan approved more than $156,000 to cover law‑enforcement services for the Rock the Country festival scheduled for Aug. 8‑9, 2026. The funding, paid at $110‑$130 per hour for deputies and lieutenants, will be provided by the event promoters, not by taxpayers.

Ahead of Kid Rock’s headline performance, festival attendees began posting tickets for sale on the event’s Facebook page, with offers ranging from general‑admission passes to camping wristbands. The secondary‑market activity reflects ongoing public scrutiny of the festival, which has been described as MAGA‑aligned and has seen several artists withdraw in recent months. The lineup also includes Jason Aldean, Brantley Gilbert, Ashley Cooke and other country acts.
