Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty win China Masters title

Indian men’s doubles pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty won the China Masters Super 750 title in Shenzhen, defeating China’s He Ji Ting and Ren Xiang Yu in a three-game final. After losing the first game 11-21, the world No. 5 duo staged a comeback to win 21-13 and 21-17, securing their second title of the season and their first China Masters crown after previous runner-up finishes in 2023 and 2025.

Prior to the final, the Indian pair overcame Malaysia’s Nur Mohd Azriyn Ayub and Tan Wee Kiong in the semifinals with a score of 21-16, 18-21, 21-11. Their path to the championship also included a victory over Denmark’s Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen in the quarterfinals.

In other news from the tournament, Indian player Kidambi Srikanth saw his campaign end in the quarterfinals following a loss to Hong Kong’s Lee Cheuk Yiu.
