KiDi and Fameye clash over songwriting credits

A songwriting dispute has emerged between prominent Ghanaian musicians KiDi and Fameye regarding the track ‘Crazy World’, the opening song on KiDi’s new album, ‘Where Do We Go From Here’.

KiDi stated during an album release event that he reached out to Fameye to share his creative vision, requesting one song but receiving four in return. He credited Fameye with co-writing the tracks, noting that ‘Crazy World’ was chosen as the opener because its message aligned perfectly with the project's concept.

However, Fameye has issued a contradictory account. In a subsequent interview, he clarified that his involvement was limited to a beat produced by his collaborator, LiquidBeatz. Fameye denied any role in writing the lyrics, stating that the songwriting credit does not belong to him and questioning if the lyrics match his personal style.
