Kidical Mass bicycle demonstrations held in Dresden and Bergisch Gladbach

The Kidical Mass bicycle demonstrations took place in Dresden and Bergisch Gladbach, where children and parents cycled to advocate for improved road safety and better infrastructure for school routes.

In Dresden, the ADFC organized an eight-kilometer route starting and ending at the Kulturpalast. The event, themed ‘The Future Rides a Bike,’ aimed to highlight the need for safe everyday paths for children. The procession was accompanied by police and designed to follow the pace of the youngest participants.

In Bergisch Gladbach, participants demonstrated against city council budget cuts regarding school mobility management. Protesters expressed frustration over the removal of responsible departments for traffic safety. While local officials acknowledged the importance of school route safety, they noted that implementation methods remain a subject of debate within the city council.
