KIDS EXPO opens in Ashgabat with focus on education and heritage
The international exhibition-fair ‘KIDS EXPO: Everything for Children’ has opened in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. The annual event serves as a platform for domestic and international companies specializing in children's goods, fashion, hygiene, food, and educational services.
High-ranking Turkmen officials attended the opening ceremony. The exhibition features a strong emphasis on national heritage, including traditional carpet weaving workshops and displays of handmade cultural products. International participation includes the Embassy of Iran, which is showcasing traditional metalwork, costumes, and toys.
Educational institutions and foreign diplomatic missions are also represented. The American Center at the U.S. Embassy is participating for the third consecutive year, presenting a pavilion focused on space and high technologies. Their programming includes interactive robotics with Dash and Lego sets, Arduino-based microelectronics, and the NASA Space Apps Challenge hackathon, where participants address tasks related to space research and climate issues.
