Kiefer releases ‘BusyForYa’ ahead of Blue Note debut ‘Memory Bomb’

Jazz pianist and producer Kiefer has released the single ‘BusyForYa’, featuring Montreal hip-hop trio Planet Giza and producer Shibo. The track serves as the third preview of his upcoming album, ‘Memory Bomb’, which marks his solo debut with Blue Note Records and is scheduled for release on September 25.

Co-produced with Shibo and CARRTOONS, the album blends jazz improvisation with hip-hop beat-making, a style Kiefer describes as ‘Over The Breaks’. The project features a diverse range of collaborators, including Nate Smith, Walter Smith III, Cisco Swank, and Amber Navran.

In conjunction with the album release, Kiefer is launching the ‘Over The Breaks’ festival, held at the Lodge Room in Los Angeles on September 18 and 19. The festival lineup includes GENA, CARRTOONS, and Luke Titus. Additionally, Kiefer is planning a fall tour across North America and Asia.
