Kiel and Meerbusch host summer cultural festivals in August 2026

The Schifffahrtsmuseum Fischhalle in Kiel will hold its 2026 Museumsnacht from 28 July to 28 August. The program includes children’s insect quizzes, a paper‑theatre performance about the storm‑flooded town of Rungholt, rope‑knotting workshops, live music, a street‑show on luminous sea life, and food stalls offering vegan ice cream and falafel. Tickets are €12 (reduced €8) for advance sales and €14 (reduced €10) at the door.

In Meerbusch, Galerie Kraft celebrates eleven years with a "Sommer der Begegnung" from 1 to 29 August. Founder Angelika Kraft invites six fellow artists for exhibitions and presentations, aiming to foster dialogue among creators and visitors. The gallery, located on Hochstraße 19, continues to promote contemporary art after moving to its current premises in 2019.
