Kielce announces winning design for Młoda Street housing complex

The city of Kielce and the Association of Polish Architects have announced the winners of an urban-architectural competition for a new social multi-family housing complex at Młoda Street. The first-place prize and 40,000 PLN were awarded to the Warsaw-based studio NM architekci Tomasz Marciniewicz.

The winning concept proposes a residential complex limited to three stories, featuring 118 units ranging from studio apartments to three-room flats. The design includes commercial spaces on the ground floors and dedicated areas for local community activity, centered around a public square and new pedestrian paths.

The jury praised the project for its ability to integrate intensive residential development into the existing urban fabric without creating dissonance. The design was noted for its harmonious relationship between low-rise buildings and public spaces, successfully addressing the diverse architectural surroundings of the site.
