Kielce hosts major mountain‑bike marathon and youth football tournament
More than 200 cyclists took part in the Świętokrzyskie MTB Cross Marathon in Kielce, competing on three distances – Family, Fan and Master. Winners were Klaudia Powroźnik and Przemysław Maj on the Family course, Kinga Janiak and Albert Goszczyński on the middle distance, and Jakub Kostrzewa on the longest route. The race featured several technical sections and a steep early climb, with participants noting the high difficulty and demanding tactics. The next edition is scheduled for 5 July in Piekoszów, with overall event finals to be held on 29 September in Chęciny.
At the same venue, Radomiak Radom’s under‑9 squad claimed victory in the III Świętokrzyski Puchar Talentów football tournament. Twelve teams played 72 matches, with Radomiak recording one loss, one draw and the rest wins. Coach Maciej Gos highlighted the tournament’s improved organization and the fair‑play spirit. Runner‑up was MKS Piaseczno, third place Beniaminek Iłża, and fourth place Astra Piekoszów, the best regional team. The event was organized by the Fundacja Aktywne Umysły and supported by Polskie Radio Kielce.
