Kielce officials seek approval for 354 million PLN consolidation loan

Kielce city officials are preparing for a fifth attempt to pass a resolution regarding a 354 million PLN consolidation loan. The proposal has previously faced three rejections by the city council, while a fourth attempt failed to reach a vote due to a lack of quorum.

Mayor Agata Wojda has emphasized that the decision is critical for the city's future development and financial stability. She stated that the loan would allow the city to manage debt over time while securing funds for essential investments, such as cybersecurity, multi-level underground parking structures, and road repairs. Wojda also noted that the decision must be made soon to inform the upcoming budget planning for next year and to determine the city's ability to apply for further funding, such as thermal modernization grants for educational buildings.
