Kielce plans major investment zone development in Obice

Kielce Mayor Agata Wojda has announced plans to develop the Obice area into a major investment zone, potentially becoming one of the largest in the region. The project aims to create significant employment opportunities and has received political consensus.

The city is preparing a formal procedure to sell approximately 300 hectares of land. Letters of intent have already been signed with the Industrial Development Agency (ARP), the Starachowice Special Economic Zone, and the Central Communication Port. These agreements focus on establishing investment areas and a freight railway terminal.

A primary goal is to find an operator for the land. The city is pursuing a model where a government agency, such as the ARP, could purchase the territory to leverage its financial resources and expertise in infrastructure development and attracting international investors.
