Kielce region officials address infrastructure and EU funding

Local government officials in the Kielce region are addressing infrastructure and regional funding concerns. The Kielce County Roads, Communication, and Construction Commission met to discuss updates to the Long-term Financial Forecast for 2026–2030 and the 2026 budget. Key projects include the expansion of a county road and sidewalk in Kranów, estimated at 350,000 PLN, alongside various other road reconstruction and documentation projects in locations such as Łabędziów, Radomice, Łagów, Bęczków, and Daleszyce.

Simultaneously, the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship Sejmik is set to deliberate on the acquisition of a property donation from the city of Kielce. The land on Św. Leonarda Street is intended to support emergency medical services by facilitating the construction of a garage for four ambulances and an additional exit for the rescue service.

Additionally, regional politicians are debating an appeal to the national government regarding the distribution of EU funds after 2027. Concerns have been raised that the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship could lose approximately 500 million PLN due to the potential liquidation of the ‘Polska Wschodnia’ program, a move critics argue would marginalize the region's development needs.
