Kier launches specialist unit for London office market

Kier has established a new Specialist Projects unit to target large-scale office refurbishments and select new-build projects throughout London and the Thames Valley. The unit will provide Category B fit-outs, refurbishment, and new-build services by utilizing the company’s internal design, engineering, and mechanical and electrical expertise.

The move responds to a market shift in London and the broader construction sector from new-build projects toward retrofitting and repurposing existing structures. Kier recently secured several major contracts in the capital, including a £50 million refurbishment of the Fenner office development and a £99 million redevelopment project for Derwent London on Oxford Street.
