Kiey launches METROMIRAGE album with international ambitions

Vietnamese artist Kiey held a multi-sensory listening party in Ho Chi Minh City on September 29 to introduce his third studio album, METROMIRAGE. The event featured the artist sharing his process of composing and producing the project, which aims to explore urban and illusory themes.

Kiey expressed ambitions to bring his music to an international audience, specifically targeting English-speaking markets. To support this goal, he is working with collaborators in the United States and the United Kingdom. He noted that a team member in the UK is currently introducing the album to international record labels, with initial feedback being positive.

The event also marked a rare media appearance by Kiey’s father, Vu Khai Thanh, the founder of Biti’s. Kiey emphasized his pride in how contemporary artists are integrating Vietnamese cultural elements into modern musical languages.
