Kigali hosts forums on African governance and food security

Major forums are convening in Kigali, Rwanda, to address governance and food security across the African continent.

The Africa Mindset Reset Forum, hosted by the African School of Governance, is bringing together policymakers and digital creators to integrate new media voices into governance. The event features prominent leaders, including Rwandan President Paul Kagame and former South African President Thabo Mbeki. Through a partnership with Influencer Africa, 34 digital creators are participating to represent youth perspectives and translate complex political topics for their audiences.

Simultaneously, the Africa Food Systems Forum has opened to address the continent's food security challenges. Delegates, including heads of state and scientists, are discussing solutions to vulnerabilities caused by climate change and international conflicts. The forum emphasizes the need for investment in African food systems and the role of research in providing real-world solutions for farming communities.
