KiK reports first historical loss in Slovakia

The discount retailer KiK has reported its first-ever loss in the Slovak market. According to financial data, the company recorded a loss of 71,070 EUR in 2025, a significant shift from the 1.185 million EUR profit reported in 2024.

Revenue also saw a notable decline, dropping approximately 10 percent year-on-year to 57.68 million EUR. This follows a downward trend in profits from 2023, when the company earned approximately 5 million EUR. The retailer, which has expanded its inventory beyond clothing to include home goods, toys, and cosmetics, faces intensifying competition from brands such as Pepco, Action, and Woolworth.
