Kilby Historic Site hosts Hansel and Gretel theatre in Harrison Mills

The Kilby Historic Site in Harrison Mills, British Columbia, will stage a live production of the fairy‑tale "Hansel and Gretel" over two weekends in August 2026. Performances are scheduled for Friday, Aug. 14 (1 p.m.), Saturday, Aug. 15 (11 a.m.), Sunday, Aug. 16 (1 p.m.) and again Friday, Aug. 21 (1 p.m.), Saturday, Aug. 22 (11 a.m.), Sunday, Aug. 23 (1 p.m.). Tickets cost $35 for adults and $25 for seniors, students and children and can be purchased at kilby.ca or by calling 604‑796‑9576.

The production is a community effort, with volunteers of all ages contributing to costumes, sets and rehearsals. Jo‑Anne Leon, executive director of the Kilby Heritage Society, highlighted the inter‑generational participation and the spirit of local volunteers that made the show possible.
